My Resources for "week 9"

MODULE 2 is coming~

hye and assalamulaikum..we meet again..:)

For today class, Mdm Poziah distributes Module 2 to each student. In this Module, it mainly focuses on how we want to edit photo?.



Before that, we have to install “Adobe Photoshop CS3” because we will use this kind of software in this photo editing module.

For me, this application is really interesting.. it can give us satisfaction in editing our photo by using the variety of function in it.

I Love AUDACITY so much!!!!

Hye and assalamulaikum..

Before this, I always do ask myself “How the song composer edit and compose their created song. What software they use?” ..This doubt and question finally answered and revealed from this week class.

What is AUDACITY?



Audacity is a free software, cross-platform digital audio editor and recording application. By using this sotware the user can easily record and edit sound. Here, we can create our own song too.




Here,the task is aboout:

Task 1
a. Choose a song, and then edit it by isolating the chorus of the song to make it in a ringtone. The song could either be a Malay, Mandarin, Hindi or an English song.
b. Save it on CD and hand it in together with the module.

Task 2
1. The next task is to cut and paste two songs together and make it sound nice.
2. The evaluation criteria will depend on the quality of sound and the tempo of the song.

Task 3
i. The third task is to edit a song and to change the quality of the song to make it sound better. The editing must be done for the song ‘dua insan’ sung by siti and M.Nasir. The intro needs to cut out the clapping sound and the end of the song, cut out the clapping sound as well as the introduction of the singers.

So,lets do it!!!

Continuing the work~

Hye and assalamulaikum..

For this week entry, it is mainly same like previous week task. “Please finish up your Module 1 task”..That’s what Mdm Poziah said to the whole class. So, we just proceed doing the work given and try and learn new things from the module “Computer and internet skills”.




While we are struggling to finish the module, glad to see that Mdm Poziah had observed our work personally by going one table to another .Thus she can help us a lot in anything that is not clear. She also can make sure that our work in the right track. Thanks to her so much!

My Resources For "Week 6":

Hye and assalamualikum..

For today class, basically there is no formal lecture but we are assigned to finish doing MODULE 1. Mainly the module consist of certain aspect that need to be try and learnt such as :
1) Web Search
2) Downloading
3) Uploading
4) Encoding
5) Storing
6) Scanning
7) Burning
8) Sending e-mail
9) Compressing files
1.10) File conversion

(These tutorial tasks require 20% marks of carry marks. We are asked to compile all these materials into portfolio by the end of the semester. )

Actually this Module helps and prepares me as a future teacher to integrate the application of technology in teaching and learning process. Actually it is crucial for us to explore the technology and to equip ourselves with the basic technology skills.

My Resouces for "week 5"

TEACHING AIDS:)~

That’s the main lesson for today class. After a short brief and explanation, Mdm Poziah asks us to design and prepare any teaching aids that appropriate for primary students. She asks us to work in pair. So, my partner for today task is Chin Hew Chiat.




Talking about the teaching aids, we are required to create our own teaching aid for year 2, 4 and 5 students.The topic that we are assigned to do is Spirit of nationalism, Fun time at school and where do you live. For this part, my partner has many ideas to be inserting in our teaching aid. Here, the aspect that we have to integrate in our teaching aids is the application of technology. For example, in every stages of each lesson either set induction, pre ,while ,post and closure we have to insert the application of technology. Thus , it will make the lesson become more interactive, and it will create enjoyful learning environment.

So, we are agreed to combine all the teaching material such as power point presentation,video, music and picture card to make our lesson becomes creative . Then, after the entire task has finish, we have to submit it like a project 

My Resouces for Week 4

Hello…We meet again...

For today class, we continue with rest presentation on the same topic entitled “Children’s Ability to Grasp Meaning”. Here, this group discuss on Non verbal communication which is the most basic elements in helping pupils to acquire a language. From that, I understand that pupils begin to learn a language from what is being said before.

Meanwhile, the fourth group talks on “Children’s Instinct for Play and Fun". What I got from the topic is kids between ages 7-12 years prefer to play and have fun rather than studying. This is because their human nature and cognitive progress tend react with the enjoyable thing. But it does not mean they don’t have to study. The teacher can integrate exciting activity such as language game into their learning. For example, language games such as “hangman”, “charade,” spelling bee” and “word maze” will create fun situations that promote the pupils to be actively participated in the lesson.





The last group presents “The Role of Imagination”. Actually, this imaginative sense is really important in children in their. So the teacher role here is to develop the student’s imagination that can enhance their critical thinking ability. For example, if they are given a chance to draw any picture, the teacher can encourage them to make on themselves. So, indirectly it can stimulate student’s thinking ability.
Last but not least, Mdm Foziah gives us some task to be completed for the next week class.

My "resources" for week 3...



Today, for our mass lecture, we got a new book and a new task. Based on the book”Teaching English in the Primary Classroom", we have to do a power point presentation. For my group,we were assign to present topic in Chapter 1,"Children’s capacity for Indirect Learning". We have to construct our own meaning about the topic by discussing in our group. Overall this topic talk about children acquires knowledge via indirect learning subconsciously. Teacher can explore student’s cognitive development by giving them chances to discover their own ability. Besides teacher can plan many activities that promote indirect learning.

The examples of activities are Hangman, Guessing games, Charade, Puzzle and others. For me, by forcing children is not a practical way to learnt and acquire something because they will feel stress psychologically.
